I got a plant at wal-mart that was labeled “Rose Flower,” but I don’t think it is Rosa Multiflora, what else could it be?

There are at least five basic different types of roses and hundreds of varieties. Some are climbing vines, some are real bushes, some are traditional rose plants. All have colorful blossoms all summer long and are perennial.
I would add that it can be risky buying plants at a generic store such as wal-mart. If you go to a specialty nursery, you may have to pay a little more, but you’ll know exactly what you’re buying and you can talk to people who know who to care for a specific plant type.
